Rain Rain Go Away

Man I hate when it rains. Nasty, nasty weather here in PCB, Florida today. Good thing I wore my white pants yesterday. Love these! I bought them at NY and Company shortly after I had my baby. They were on the clearance rack and the only size left was a 2. Well they were a little tight then but now they fit perfectly. I know their stuff runs a little big but I'll tell you, I'm a much happier person buying a 2 then an 8 at H&M. It's pretty ridiculous how drastically different sizes can differ from store to store.  Like I have mentioned I am working on losing some weight and I am hoping after I do that these pants fit like a loose pair of trousers. Anyway, I paired them with my BCBG heels that I also got on clearance. Right now I am loving a pointy toe heel. Especially with wide leg pants or denim. Lastly I threw on this gorgeous cobalt blue and black lace top from Urban Outfitters. I first saw it in white in Las Vegas in December but could not convince the husband to let me get it. Well after we got back to Florida I could not stop thinking about it so I found it online, only they were sold out of white in my size. So I bought the blue and I love it. It's very sexy and drapey. Very low cut though, have to wear something underneath.

These are the H&M pants that I mentioned earlier. I saw them in a few magazines (Lucky and Elle, I think). I found them at the Las Vegas H&M and grabbed them right away. They come with a sash for the waist but I will only use it if I am tucking my top in. As we speak I have these pants in the dryer even though the label says not to. I am kind of hoping they shrink a little. I've got my fingers crossed.
Below you will notice me standing in front of my closet. Not a walk-in, I wish it was. On the inside of the door it where I post  my favorite looks of celebrities for inspiration. There is a lot of Olivia Palermo, Kate Bosworth, and Rachel Bilson.

Eyelet ans Sequins and Lace, Oh My!!

Does anyone else watch Pretty Little Liars? I actually just started watching it a few weeks ago and I really like it. I read the books first and as far as I can tell they are doing it a little bit different. Spoiler Alert!!!! In the books "A" is Mona but in the show they don't seem to show her very often sooo...? Anyway, I just watched the finale last night and I can't wait for it to start back up in June.
On to the outfit. I wore this on Sunday and it was absolutely gorgeous outside. I put on my favorite LWD and a sequined and lace bolero I hadn't gotten around to wearing yet, and threw on some semi-new nude heels. I got these heels at the Dillards shoe sale and have worn them a couple times but now I am not sure how much I like them. The two things I love is that they have gold chain detailing and that they are nude to help elongate the legs. Unfortunately I think the t-strap counters the nude and they actually make my legs look a little stumpy. Plus the heel is only 4 in. which sounds high but anyone who loves high heels will tell you 5 in is better. Right? Or is it just me?
Oh! Also let me know what you think of the new layout. I finally figured out how to make my pics bigger, so I'm happy!

Yay! I got a hat in the mail today! I like it, I'm happy. So I had to wear it right away so I put on my black bandage skirt, and my boots from H&M, a gray tee with fringe detail and was good to go. Up here in the Panhandle I probably look overdressed compared to most, but I don't really care. I am not a flip flop girl and pretty clothes make me happy.

Recent Outfits

Here are some recent outfits I have worn.

The first is my attempt to mix prints. When you do so you need to make sure there is a similar color in each print so you don't look like a hot mess. I chose navy blue. I think florals and stripes look really cute together when done right.

Striped Cardigan: Hollister

Floral Dress: Tucker for Target

Brown Boots: Mossimo Supply Co. (target)

This is what I wore when me, my husband and the kids went out to dinner for my husband's 31st birthday. We went to restaurant we have never tried before called Reggae J's. I had the coconut shrimp and it was amazing! We are definitely going back.

Black Faux Leather Cropped Jacket: Arden B

Strapless Black Dress: Merona Collection (target)

Patent Cheetah Print heels: Aldo

This is what I wore when we went out drinking for my husband's birthday. I love this top. I bought it in Vegas when I went with the new baby to visit my mother. She lives 2 hours south in Lake Havasu City, AZ so we had to fly in to Vegas and drive the rest. Well I made my mom stop at the huge H&M at Caesar's Palace since there is no H&M near me. I could have spent so much money there. They had a lot of their Spring stuff out, I just about broke the bank. I feel like their bottoms run small though. I got a pair of khaki cropped trousers that I have seen in a few magazines and had to get a size 8. A lot of their skirts I could not even get zipped up. Anyone else have that problem? Regardless, I can't wait to get back down there in June. I think I will have to get a part-time job just to save up for my purchases.

This was just an average day running errands.

Brown Faux Leather Moto Jacket: Hollister

Floral Tank: Charlotte Russe

Denim Flares: William Rast

Another errands day. These jeans I bought a few years ago. So glad I have them since this look is huge for Spring. The the only part they lack is the high rise, these are definitely low rise, I think the zipper is an inch long.

White Fedora: Target (i think?)

Silk Floral Sleeveless Blouse: Sugar Lips (dillard's)

Light Wash Denim Flares: Divine Rights of Denim (dillards)

Purple Cardigan: Charlotte Russe

Platform Heels: Jessica Simpson Dany

Things I Have to Have

I am so excited I found this dress. I first saw Aimee wear it on her blog Song of Style and I had to find it. It is from Lulus.com here. I saw her wear it at the end of February and I immediately went looking for it. I could not find it at all. So thinking it sold out I checked back the following couple of days, still to no avail. Well yesterday I checked again and hurray! I finally found it. There are only 4 left, so if you purchase it right away use the code the new issue of People Style Watch provided. Everything site wide is 20% off, just put STYLEWATCH1 at checkout. I am so excited! My only concern is the size. The measurements looked like they would be okay but they only have either S/M or M/L. I am still losing weight after having the baby but I still have at least 10 lbs to go.

These pants I found on missselfridge.com. They are called Rose Wide Leg Trousers. They were originally 40 gbp but are on sale for 8 gbp. They still have UK sizes 6, 10, and 14 left and shipping is 7.50 gbp.
These next three are things I found on ebay. This black skirt is NWT from Topshop and has an exposed zipper in the back and lace detail around the bottom.
This crochet dress is also Topshop. Pre-owned for 21 gbp. She said she only wore it once so hopefully it is in good condition.
Last but not least this Panama hat is from Express, currently in stores and on-line for $35 and I found it on ebay for $19. Good deal right?
I am going to Vegas in June. Need to save up for the real shopping there. Also I apologize for any spelling errors, my spellcheck is not working.
