Outfit of The Day- love me some pink

This is actually what I wore a few days ago. I'm just behind on my blog a bit. I wanted to say thanks to the new followers I have recently got. I appreciate all of you who take some time out of your day to see what I've got going on over here. And if you're not a follower yet don't forget to sign up if you like what you see. Anyway, I know this outfit is kinda matchy-matchy, but I don't really care. You can't see it in the pic but my shoes have little silver studs on the back which work with the gray in the shorts, and obviously the pink goes with the top. I bought these shorts at American Eagle not too long ago, but now they are marked down to $24.99 plus an extra 20% off and free shipping this weekend They come in steel gray and navy. They are a really nice material and come with a sash that helps hold them up since I bought a size too big. Oops.

Derek Lam Resort 2012

Derek Lam got his inspiration for this collection from a two and a half week vacation to Bhutan and Phuket. He mixed diving influences (first pic) and tribal motifs. I think my favorite is the last pic. Aren't those leather shorts to die for?

Recent Outfits

Now that I finally finished my Vegas posts I can go back to what I am wearing at home. If you haven't checked out Kate Bosworth's site yet, I suggest that you do. Jewelmint has some really cool pieces. The necklace below is from there. They had sent out an email to get a piece for $10.49 so I jumped on it, it's also free shipping. They also package your jewelry so beautifully I didn't even want to put it away. And you can opt out any month you don't want to buy something. Very cool.
t-shirt: Mossimo, skirt: Lush (lulus.com), sandels: BP, necklace: Jewelmint

Alice + Olivia Resort 2012 Collection

If you have read my blog fr any length of time, you know that I love color. I think it started when I was doing hair at Ulta. Every day, black or white, no prints, black shoes, no white on the bottom. OMG. So boring. I think I went a little crazy. Well its been over two years now since I left there so I have slowly been letting black back into my life, but you can't beat color. And that is what Alice + Olivia's Resort collection looks like to me. So colorful! I love it! The designer Stacey Bendet just had another baby, but her designs are still fun, for the party girl. These are my three favorites.

A couple of my favorite looks from DVF's Resort show "Wrapsody Rap". Love the exposed bra with the menswear blazer, the bright colors and drape-y dresses.

Last Day In Vegas

This is way overdue. We've been back now for 2.5 weeks. Oh well. So Monday was our last full day in Vegas so we went to the pool only for maybe an hour. That's all it takes in Nevada to get a nice sunburn. The first two pics are at the pool. Very nice. After that we went to City Center which is where pics three and four are. Couldn't afford anything there so we went back to H&M and I bought two more dresses (one is below) and Chandler got the fedora and white shirt he's wearing below. Checked out The Cosmopolitan. Awesome hotel, would love to stay there one day. They have an All Saints store which we checked out. Saw an amazing sequin dress but it was a couple hundred dollars out of my price range. I'm keeping an eye on Ebay. Then we walked by The Sugar Factory. Really not as cool as I was expecting. They had a sign out front "Holly Madison Book Signing". Sweet!!! Yeah not so much, apparently I was so excited I didn't finish reading the sign. I was five days early. So we went back to the hotel and got all dressed up for dinner at N9NE Steakhouse. Amazing food but a little on the pricey side. Dinner for two with tip was about $180. You have to pay for everything separate. The side of potato gnocchi was $12 and even the steak sauce was $4. I think the steak itself was $60. It was good though. After dinner we went and lost some more money at Roulette and Blackjack. Good times. It really was though. We are thinking about going back in August, but we may have to wait until November.

On me: pink dress: GLAM, silver sandals: BP

On Chandler: fedora, belt and white shirt: H&M, shoes: Zara, pants: Perry Ellis

You will take a style quiz and then every month they will offer you 4 designs to choose from for $30. I am assuming like Jewelmint or Shoe Society you can opt out any month you like. Anyway, I became a member and can now invite people myself so just click here to be taken to the website and become a member yourself. You won't be charged anything yet until you actually want to buy one of your selections after July 1.

Sunday In Vegas

So after sleeping in Sunday morning we ate at the Circus Circus buffet and then checked out of that craptastic hotel. I honestly would never stay there again and the only reason we did stay there at all is because I booked us at The Palms through Jetsetter which is part of Gilt Groupe and for whatever reason they had nothing available for Saturday night. And since The Palms is not right on the Strip I figured it would be nice to stay on the Strip at least one night. What I didn't realize is that Circus Circus is definitely NOT where the action is and I accidentally booked us in their Manor Motor Lodge which consists if five three story buildings off to the side. When checking in they said they were all booked in the main tower and would not be able to move us. Whatever. Place was awful. Anyway, The Palms made up for it. They let us check in three hours early and gave us an upgrade to a suite for $50 a night. Best hotel we have ever stayed in. The bed was so comfortable, the room had a walk-in closet and a living room. HUGE bathtub and standing shower. It was heaven. In the third pic below you can see our view from our room. Awesome. Oh, did I mention the doorbell (see pic 1). So Sunday we just putzed around the hotel (I love computer Blackjack!) and had an early dinner at Gardunos Restaurant. It was mexican food and it was delicious. They had a salsa bar! So after that we went to The Playboy Club (see pics 5 & 7) and won $80 on roulette. It was early and slow so we went over to the Ghost Bar. We didn't have to pay cover at either place since we were staying at the hotel. The Ghost Bar is on the 56th floor (I think) and has an awesome view of the strip (last pic). It was a wonderful first day at The Palms and I definitely recommend it.

Our "living room" and view. Wearing an H&M dress and shoes, and Guess bag (for dinner)
for the clubs something a little sluttier: black top: Speechless, bandage skirt: Ambiance Apparel,
heels: Elizabeth and James

My hot hubby in a H&M top he got the previous day

Playboy Bunnies at the Playboy Club- not friendly at all! They were probably too worried their boobs were
gonna fall out to be nice. Whatever. Its called double sided tape.

Zara Purchases/ First Night in Vegas (Saturday)

If you scroll down you will see my Zara wish list. I did not purchase a single item on it. Most I could not even find (white dresses, blue strapless dress, fuchsia shoes, etc). Actually it's easier to list what I did find and that was the green skirt, the pink, red, and orange shoes, and the nude heels with the crystal bow. I did not even try any of these items on. Immediately I found these two items that I absolutely love and they look great together. I wore them on my first night out in Vegas with some awesome shoes I bought from H&M which were originally $70 but had a 50% off tag. The guy accidentally took $50 off instead. Yay! We went to the Stratosphere and rode two rides at the top, then went down to Freemont Street, had dinner at Red Sushi, lost our car, found our car, went to Surrender nightclub at Encore ($$$), and then walked back to Circus Circus barefoot. I know, gross, but my feet hurt so bad. Here are some pics from our first night in Vegas.

Dress: Tucker for Target (worn backwards), sunglasses: AE

Got Chandler to pose: shirt & shoes: Zara, jeans: Marc Ecko

Top, skirt: Zara, heels: H&M (cute but killed my feet after a couple hours)

Surrender dancer plus Chandler being a dork

Funny how similar what I was wearing looks to this pic huh? Swear I didn't plan it.
