If you haven't noticed I'm not one to accessorise much. Not because I don't like to but because I'm really not very good at it. Also, I much prefer to spend my money on the bigger pieces. But  it is true when they say that accessories make the outfit. This one went from very basic to classy with the add of a floppy brimmed hat and faux fur scarf. When I was at American Eagle buying this scarf I was trying to decide between it and another red infinity scarf. The clerk told me to go for the red but I'm glad I went with my instinct on this one. It goes with so much more than you would think and I love it.

I felt like I was wearing a lot of neutrals lately so I had to break out a dress in a really saturated hue. Also, I was trying it with flats vs. heels. I really am not one for wearing flats with anything other than skinny jeans/ pants. I feel they make my legs look too stumpy.

So this weekend I am headed to New Orleans as I have mentioned. Very excited since this will be my first time even though I only live about 4 hours away. I was looking forward to some shopping (the stores are awful where I live) only to find out it's not much better there. No H&M or Zara. I heard they do have an Urban Outfitters though. If you have been there or are from the area I would love some suggestions on things to do/see.

This post is a bit overdue. A friend of a friend goes crazy for the Twilight movies and rents a whole theater for an invite only party and midnight showing. She has it catered, gives out prizes for games such as Trivia. One question: Can you spot the mistake in the missing boy poster above? I didn't win any prizes but it was an awesome time. Got there early so we could do some shopping. Went and bought the hat at Forever 21. What do you think of my flats? I love these spiky shoes and wear them all the time. I'm thinking I need them in gold as well.

p.s. If you don't know the answer to the question above it's that Charlie Swan is not a Sheriff, he's the Chief of Police. I didn't get it right.

Anyone else tired of the good items Zara shows in their lookbooks not being available? Or is it just me? Still waiting for those printed skinny trousers from the November Lookbook to come available. Has anyone seen them in the store? I will be in New Orleans next weekend for the Lions/ Saints game and thought I might check out the store. I am assuming there is one there. On the plus side, they are doing a Black Friday sale going on now. There are 138 items marked down. Not too much that has been one my wish list but I did buy the Blazer with Zips which was marked down to $70 from $90. They also have those two-tone heeled ankle boots. The black/tan and black/ navy marked down to $50. Almost got the tan ones but I don't think my husband would be too happy with me even if they are only $50. Oh well, like I said, still holding out for some items which I would like to buy the minute they come available.

I hope everyone who celebrates is having a wonderful Thanksgiving! Who's braving the Black Friday crowds? I know I'm not, I will be all snuggled up in my bed.

I love it when the new lookbooks come out. But I hate it when they don't have the items I want in stock. I love the shorts in numbers 3 and 4 in the first set above and the dress in number 3 in Evening. Thinking about those sequin shorts too. Is 27 too old for sequined short shorts?
