The first outfit I was wearing earlier in the day, then I got my new pink jeans in the mail. just have to say I love these. The color is perfect, but if you are in the market for these they run a little on the small side. I love the ankle zips in the back.

Now the pants I ma wearing in the first pics I had to buy on Ebay because this color in the wool is sold out. I am actually selling the same pants in a size 2 on Ebay because they were a bit too big for me. They do already have 1 bid at $40. But if you are interested you can find them here.

I wasn't going to post these pictures because I really don't like the outfit. At the time I thought I was being creative and trying something different but now looking back I look like I'm trying to dress like I'm still in High school. The only thing I do like is my hair. I had done a messy braid on each side of my head and brought it back and just pinned it all crazy. Actually these earrings and bracelet are one of my favorite pieces of jewelry. I bought them at Target a couple years ago and they still look good. That's another thing about this outfit, everything I'm wearing with the exception of the boots and watch is at least a couple years old.

My husband has been working so much lately that I haven't been able to get him to take my picture. He;s working by himself at a Sherwin William's floor covering store that should have at least 3 employees. I even forgot to get him to take my picture yesterday when we went to a Wedding Shower.

If you liked the last post I did on things from Zara's newest collection I can do another. I received another box today and I think I'm keeping everything this time. Though I have had thoughts about sending this one back. I don't know though, I may keep it. So please comment if you would like another Zara review.

I just wanted to review a couple items I recently bought from Zara.com. The dress I actually got a month ago and the other three arrived today.

Asymmetric Studio Skirt $90

I am very rarely disappointed in Zara but this time takes the cake. This skirt looks lovely in the picture but in reality is nothing more than just a slip. It's not lined, there is no zipper (stretchy waist). It is silk but IMO $90 is way too much for something so flimsy. So needless to say, this one went back.

Blouse w/ Applique and Lace $80

One thing I've decided I need to add to my wardrobe is tops for all the skirts, trousers and jeans I own. But it won't be this one. I would say size down on this one. It is pretty and is real silk but for $80 i decided I would rather have something else. It just wasn't very flattering on me. I like the back detail but just decided this one is also going back.

Lace Dress $60

This dress I love but beware it does run small. I originally ordered a small because I always wear a small at Zara but the thing was so tight I couldn't wear a bra and it smushed my boobs down. So i bought a medium and sent the small back and the medium fits perfect. I love the fitted lace sleeves and the high low hem. The attached slip is nice and fitted so the lace just flows over the top nicely. I haven't worn it yet but Sunday I'm attending a friend's wedding shower and thought it might work for that.

Printed Trousers $80

These are the only thing I decided to keep today. I love these pants. I bought them in a small so I would say they run true to size. Being only 5'3 they are the perfect length, no need to hem them. Love the colors! I have the dress with this same print and I just love it. Oh, and how great are those heels? I can't wait til they stock those.

So what did you think about the review? Is it something I should do more of? Or was it just a waste of a post?

This was the night we celebrated my Father-In-Law's birthday. We had dinner at Bonefish Grill. My husband and I ordered four apps to share. We had coconut shrimp, ahi tuna, bacon wrapped scallops, and calamari cooked with peppers. Oh man, it was so good. In the picture above I featured my cousin Megan. She's a fantastic hairdresser with amazing style (her kimono's from Target!). I usually do my own hair but next month I'm going to Salon Twist (btw, was featured in Elle magazine's best salons in the country) for her to give me a good trim. It's not easy attempting to cut your own hair while getting all the split ends. Now, as for color I need some opinions. I was thinking of doing the ombre but I'm not sure. I need something different since I'm still growing it. Any ideas?

Tonight we are going to Bonefish Grill for my father-in-law's birthday. Happy Birthday Paul!! Then they are off to Thailand for 2 weeks. Lucky! It's pretty sad that I've never been outside of the US with the exception of going on a cruise to the Bahamas.

So, I'm loving this scalloped skirt, and now I realized there is a matching jacket! I really don't need it though. I live in Florida, it's January and about 70 degrees. Where's the Winter?!!! P.P.S. Did you notice my bangs? I've been wanting to cut them for a while but the longer my hair got the harder it was. Back when I was doing hair I cut it (mine) all the time with no qualms about doing so. This is the longest my hair has even been all due to the fact that I no longer work in a salon. This is my second time wearing these pants and I just love them. I'm surprised how flattering they are considering they're a crazy print. This time I paired the Navajo pants with a striped sweater that has the same colors red and blue as the pants. I'm pretty pleased with the result.

These pictures we took inside because the weather was not very good. I think in the next set of pictures you will see I did something different to my hair. It's something I've been wanting to do for a while but never had the courage.

I had to go and ask for cold weather. Last night was absolutely freezing. My husband and I went to a friend's birthday party not realising we would be outside for the majority of the time. So the outfit above made me feel like I was going to work at an office. Or I guess it would if it weren't for the studs on my jacket and the sequins on my clutch.

The weather here has been crazy warm, almost 70 degrees for most of this winter. Even though I do live in Florida it still usually gets pretty cold this time of year. According to the Weather channel though we are in for some cooler weather this weekend, so there is that to look forward to. I got these shoes in the mail last week and love them! I just wish I got to them before all the colors sold out. Right now they are on final sale for $129.99 but if you use the code: WINTER, you'll get an extra 30% off. They only have sizes 8 and up left though. I would say they run pretty true to size. I usually wear a 7.5 but actually got these in a 7 (an 8 wasn't available then) and they are a tiny bit tight. An 8 probably would have been better but these were final sale. Oh well, they really are just beautiful shoes.

Still so behind on my pictures. I had to go buy a new laptop charger today because the one I has started on fire last night. It was pretty crazy stuff. No damage done but a small burn on the carpet. So, the above photos are from Christmas Day which we spent at my in-laws. Very casual. My mother-in-law made oyster stew and had shrimp cocktail.

I went with Christmas colors since my outfit wasn't very dressy. Love this chunky sweater with the sleek red heels. I'm very tempted by the similar ones I linked to above. I guess I don't really need two pair of red pumps though.

This was at a Christmas Eve church service outdoors with a view of the beach. Rosemary Beach, Florida is such a beautiful community. The houses are gorgeous but very expensive. My mother-in-law runs the fitness center there but it is super tiny. Thinking about joining the local Gold's Gym. It's about 10 minutes away and 2 stories with fitness classes which I love. Never tried Zumba but I want to. I love yoga, pilates, and spinning. Even aerobics! But even with all that I haven't stepped foot in a gym or laced up my sneakers (even though I have cute pink ones) in months. So I guess my cliche resolution is to get back in the fitness game. Have any of you made a New Year's resolution?

Just something to think about when ordering their pants.

We were at the base of the London Bridge and I took some pics by this beautiful fountain and in an old fashioned photo booth in between feeding the ducks and pigeons. I'm personally more partial to the ducks. They were just so pretty and I love the photo I got with the two ducks above. I'm also quite partial to the handsome man pictured above. I love you Chandler! These pics are from last Friday. We were still in Arizona but went up to the mountains where there was snow and Elk and Deer. It was amazing! I felt like I was back home in Wisconsin. As you can see I wasn't dresses entirely appropriate for the weather but I didn't pack any snow boots either. At least I saved the heels for back at my Mom's.

It looks like Zara is having an end of the year sale. Wish I knew that yesterday when I placed an order. I purchased a pair of pants for $50 yesterday and today they are $40. I guess I could just order another pair and return the first ones but I probably won't. Too lazy. Does everyone have their Christmas shopping done? I'm such a procrastinator. I still have to get the in-laws something but my husband is not being any help what-so-ever. Wish me luck!

The Big Easy {Day 2}

This is what I wore on Sunday in New Orleans before the game that night. We went and walked around the French Quarter and had lunch at Rivers Edge on Decatur. I was not impressed with the food there. We walked around the park and checked out the Chapel. I was hoping for better shopping there. We went into Urban Outfitters and French Connection but nothing caught my eye. Oh well. I did plenty of online shopping once I got back. Yesterday I bought this skirt, these pants, and a white tuxedo blazer that must have sold out already. Today, I bought this shirt in strawberry and these pants in bright dahlia. I couldn't decide between that and the yacht blue but the blue won't be in stock until January so...

I think I'm done shopping until spring. I don't have any available hangers in my overstuffed closet. I need to put more stuff up on Ebay. Check the Shop my Closet link at the top if you're interested.

The Big Easy {Night 1}

Got back from New Orleans a couple days ago but I used that time to recuperate. We had a blast. Went out to dinner and partied on Bourbon on Saturday and Sunday we tailgated before the game that night. Saturday night I wore my new Zara dress. You can't see in these pics but the back has an interesting clasp. Unfortunately it broke that night my first time wearing it. I did find the piece so I guess I'll attempt to sew it back myself.

Oh! My wonderful husband bought me a Canon Rebel T3 DSLR camera as my Christmas present so my pictures should start looking a little better. I'm very excited but so confused on how to use this thing. Right now I'm just keeping it on the default setting. I'm open to tips if anyone uses the same camera.

If you haven't noticed I'm not one to accessorise much. Not because I don't like to but because I'm really not very good at it. Also, I much prefer to spend my money on the bigger pieces. But it is true when they say that accessories make the outfit. This one went from very basic to classy with the add of a floppy brimmed hat and faux fur scarf. When I was at American Eagle buying this scarf I was trying to decide between it and another red infinity scarf. The clerk told me to go for the red but I'm glad I went with my instinct on this one. It goes with so much more than you would think and I love it.

I felt like I was wearing a lot of neutrals lately so I had to break out a dress in a really saturated hue. Also, I was trying it with flats vs. heels. I really am not one for wearing flats with anything other than skinny jeans/ pants. I feel they make my legs look too stumpy.

So this weekend I am headed to New Orleans as I have mentioned. Very excited since this will be my first time even though I only live about 4 hours away. I was looking forward to some shopping (the stores are awful where I live) only to find out it's not much better there. No H&M or Zara. I heard they do have an Urban Outfitters though. If you have been there or are from the area I would love some suggestions on things to do/see.

This post is a bit overdue. A friend of a friend goes crazy for the Twilight movies and rents a whole theater for an invite only party and midnight showing. She has it catered, gives out prizes for games such as Trivia. One question: Can you spot the mistake in the missing boy poster above? I didn't win any prizes but it was an awesome time. Got there early so we could do some shopping. Went and bought the hat at Forever 21. What do you think of my flats? I love these spiky shoes and wear them all the time. I'm thinking I need them in gold as well.

p.s. If you don't know the answer to the question above it's that Charlie Swan is not a Sheriff, he's the Chief of Police. I didn't get it right.

Anyone else tired of the good items Zara shows in their lookbooks not being available? Or is it just me? Still waiting for those printed skinny trousers from the November Lookbook to come available. Has anyone seen them in the store? I will be in New Orleans next weekend for the Lions/ Saints game and thought I might check out the store. I am assuming there is one there. On the plus side, they are doing a Black Friday sale going on now. There are 138 items marked down. Not too much that has been one my wish list but I did buy the Blazer with Zips which was marked down to $70 from $90. They also have those two-tone heeled ankle boots. The black/tan and black/ navy marked down to $50. Almost got the tan ones but I don't think my husband would be too happy with me even if they are only $50. Oh well, like I said, still holding out for some items which I would like to buy the minute they come available.

I have to tell you, if you are looking for some brown knee high boots, these are the shiznit. Honestly they sat in my closet for a while and I even contemplated returning them because of their price tag ($169, but not too bad for boots). I am so glad I didn't though. They hold their shape really nice which I was a bit worried about since they don't have a zipper, they just pull on . But they are sitting in my closet standing on their own with no inserts to keep them up. Now I just wish they sold them in black.

Oh man, I'm in trouble. I think this November lookbook is the best one I've seen in a while. The model is beautiful (love her hair!) and the way she wears the clothes makes me want them all. Unfortunately most of them aren't even available yet which is not unusual when a new Zara lookbook comes out. But beware, once the items featured are available they sell out fast.

So, I am loving the knee length skirts they've been doing (seen in looks #1, 5, and 7), especially #5, but they don't look very good on me. I had purchases the Zara dress that is white with black stripes down the sides and ended up returning it because I prefer my hems to stop about mid-thigh. I may have to make an exception for #5 though. In fact, I want the turtleneck and boots as well. Now can we talk about look #4 for a minute? How amazing are those printed trousers? Uh, I die. Those will make it to my closet. Let's just hope they make it online first. I love that whole look, from the jacket to the heels, perfection. The dresses in #3 and #9 are just gorgeous. I can see myself wearing the former, but the maxi looks pretty formal, even with the boots, that I can't actually see myself being a housewife in that. I do love it though! #10 is another of my favorites. I love how they paired the pretty maxi skirt with a rough plaid shirt and boots and then added a glamorous feathered clutch. Today I am expecting the dark gray skirt with side splits, so I think I may give that look a go with what's already hanging in my closet. May just have to buy that clutch though!

Sorry these pictures are so awful. The first set were taken Halloween night and the second was a day or two after and it was raining and dark out so we had to do them indoors. I'm hoping my wonderful, handsome, oh so loving husband will buy me a decent camera for Christmas this year (fingers crossed). But anyway, it looks like I have found myself a uniform. Blazer, tank, jeans, and boots or heels. I bought these jeans last week and have barely removed them from my body. I put the link if you want to check them out, unfortunately they seem to be sold out of most sizes but they do offer them in other colors. Lately I have been a fan of no other color denim but dark blue. They are slimming, clean and can be dressed up easily. Now doesn't Zara just make the best blazers. Man, I love them. Right now I have my eye on their black and white Varsity jacket. I know I am a little late on this one but it took me a while to get into it and to find one I love.

I think they did it in the TRF lookbook a couple months ago. Looks great with the silver skirt too. I actually tried to sell this AE dress on Ebay a few times with no luck but didn't have it in me to Goodwill it so I threw the sweater over the top and Voila! Don't forget to set your clocks back tonight. It's always nice to gain an hour but I hate when it gets dark so early.

Well, I guess you can't really tell, but the heel of these shoes are gold and the front is silver glitter. Love these, they look awesome with this skirt as well as with a bunch of other things. I bought some hot rollers for my hair. I figured it has to be better than a blow dryer and flat iron

all the time, even better than doing nothing and putting it up because when ever I take

it down I have so many broken hairs come out. Unfortunately, I can't seem to get the waves

to last more than an hour. I use Aveda pure-fume brilliant universal styling cream on dry

hair and lots of hair spray. If anyone has any suggestions I would love to hear them. If I can't get

the waves to stay I may just need to return the rollers. Not worth it if they don't last more than 60 minutes.

I love this dress! One of the things I've purchased since Zara went online. I think my favorite part is the back- I like how it scoops real low but you can still wear a normal bra. The reason you haven't seen many of my Zara purchases is because they are more Fall appropriate and it's still in the upper 80's here. Two sweaters, two skirts, and pair of heeled loafers and this dress. It comes in gray too.

Something about my posing here looks off to me. Also, I had just blow dried my hair and my bangs

wanted to go in front of my face. Anyway, I went to Target on Wednesday to check out

the Missoni collection which now everyone is referring to as Target's epic fail. I agree.

One day late and all the women's clothing was gone. I didn't think people in Panama City Beach even knew what Missoni was. I did manage to get a cute notebook and note holder. I originally wanted one of the sweater skirts and the sweater with the contrasting sleeves but I don't want them enough to pay double

on Ebay. I heard there are already 42,000 items up already. Now that's just crazy.

I hope these people end up having to return the items or better yet get stuck with them.

Well I've had quite the crappy morning. And I'm not even a morning person. First, my alarm didn't go off so I woke up 20 minutes late. Then I realise I'm out of gas, my card doesn't work at the pump so I have to go in and of course they take forever. Then my car starts to overheat because it needed coolant (at least i hope that's why), luckily I have coolant in my trunk, but you have to wait 5 minutes to even open the cap, so these guys pull up asking if I need help, I didn't so I sent them on their way, only to realise I can't open the cap! I got so frustrated that I started to cry but my husband came to the rescue (thanks babe!). Fun! I hope your days started off better than mine.

Feeling 70's

I'm in love with this skirt. I bought it maybe a month ago on sale at Topshop for about $25, down from $110. I was so excited because I've had my eye on it for a while now. Unfortunately it is a bit heavy because it's suede so I waited for a cooler day to wear it. I've probably purchased at least 6 miniskirts in the past couple months. Not sure why, just really into them at the moment, especially an a-line mini like this one. Also, just to let you know, the Zara ankle boots I mentioned I purchased, the pointy black and red ones below went back. They are really cool, but for someone with athletic legs that aren't very long they don't do much. I felt because there was no platform they just made my legs look bigger. I thought about keeping them to wear under wide leg jeans and pants because they did look good with those, but I already have a pair of pointy red pumps so it was kind of pointless. But all is not lost, I sent those back and bought the blue and black heeled moccasin's in their place which should be here tomorrow or Wednesday. So excited, I plan on wearing these with skinny jeans. They will probably get more wear than the booties anyway.

Years ago, my husband told me he finds nothing sexier than a woman in jeans and a white t-shirt. So of course he loved this one. Loving cut out shoulders, so far this is the only top I have with that detail.
You may have noticed I've been wearing my hair in a ponytail quite often lately. I've been trying to give my hair a break from heat tools, meaning the blow dryer. I can't give up my flat iron. My hair is wavy but not pretty wavy. It's more straight on top and in the front but curly underneath. Blah! So I just let it air dry and then use the straightener. But when I do that my hair is really flat, hence the pony.
