Flashback Friday & For Love and Lemons

Topshop Dress

Flashback Friday, For Love and Lemons & a Sweet Giveaway –

I was going to post this anyways but got lucky with the title since it is in fact Friday, yay! I have been super busy and before that super sick lately so my blogging has taken an extreme nosedive. Going through photos on my computer I came across some from last August that I never posted so I thought I’d share now! First up, the beginning of the month started with a trip to Nashville with Chandler and the kids. You may remember this post here. I’m kind of weird about making sure my photos are always in chronological order and I rarely take out whole shoots as well, so that might explain why these photos are better than the other Nashville post yet never made it to the blog until now. Anyway, above I am wearing a drop waist dress with peplum from Topshop, white faux-birks also from Topshop and an exaggerated collar necklace from Free People. I love this necklace and but it’s in the pile of things to be fixed which means we’ll never see it again. 🙁
Throwback Thursday IMG_1590 IMG_1600 Next up we have Art on the Rocks at the Birmingham Art Museum. Had a blast that night as my in-laws were in town (free babysitters, whoo, whoo) as well as my brother-in-law and his girlfriend who joined us. I am obsessed with this dress which I ultimately ended up selling on eBay since I figured it would be a while before it saw the light of day again. It’s just so pretty and I am obsessed with anything backless! Wearing a For Love & Lemons Dress with Zara heels and a lariat from H&M worn backwards. IMG_1683IMG_1684Backless Dress

With Vanessa, the first person I met when I moved here 2 years ago. I had googled fashion bloggers in Birmingham and there she was, so I reached out! She is behind Budding Fashionista, so you should definitely check her out! For Love & Lemons Dress And finally the day after the art event was YP Birmingham’s White Party. My husband didn’t come this time since he didn’t want to ditch his parents again so I went by myself. I wanted to go dammit, so if no one else wants to go then fine. But let me tell you, they missed out. I had a flipping blast, especially at the end when they started throwing out hotdogs to everyone, or was it small burgers? I don’t remember because that’s how much fun I had. I can’t wait until this years event and you can bet I will not be attending solo. Wearing another dress by For Love & Lemons with Kendra Scott earrings and Topshop heels. 4 (1) I also wanted to let you know about an AMAZING giveaway happening. I entered this myself because recently my diamond fell out of my engagement band and I didn’t even notice until it was far too late (tears). As most of you probably know my husband and I have been together since I was all of 17 and were married 2 and a half years later. I’m thinking a ring like the one above or the beautiful one below would be excellent for a vow renewal. Well lucky us, or maybe I should say lucky someone, will be winning the beauty above and (fingers crossed it’s me!) I will be so jealous to whoever gets this beauty by Noam Carver. So basically Noam Carver and CrownRing are giving one lucky person a chance to win this gorgeous piece of jewelry so what are you waiting for? Head here to get yourself in the drawing of the year!
