How To: Three Braid Up-Do

Goody Clean Radiance
How To: Three Braid Up-Do –

This how-to post came about after using a new line of brushes by Goody called Clean Radiance. This brush has copper bristles that reduce buildup in hair when used regularly. And reducing that yucky buildup means hot and healthy shine for those pretty strands. Just don’t use this brush when blow-drying your hair because those copper bristles get hot, hot, hot and well, that my friends is not good for your hair. The brush does have a nice, cushioned pad though so that makes it much more comfy when brushing. Below I have the steps to achieve the Three Braid Up-Do, so keep scrolling!

Three Braid Up-Do
Step 1 and 2: After brushing your hair with the Goody Clean Radiance brush part your hair on the side or in the middle. Tuck it behind your ears and then divide the back into 3 sections.

Step 3 and 4: Starting on one side do a regular braid in each section.

Step 5 and 6: Close the end of each braid with an elastic. I used Goody elastics as I was out of the tiny rubber ones which would work better for this style.
Three Braids
Step 7 and 8: At this point you should have three braids in the back.

Step 9 and 10: Now you will take each individual braid and wrap it into a bun, it doesn’t have to be perfect, and you will want to use bobby pins to secure as you move along.

Step 11 and 12: As above, continue wrapping each braid into a bun and try to keep these buns as close to each other as possible.

Step 13 and 14: Once you have finished wrapping your braided buns add in additional bobby pins as needed to keep the style in place. If you have bangs or longer bangs as I do, pull them out as well as a few pieces along the hairline. Give your style a quick spritz of hairspray and make sure to carry extra pins with you to keep your style secure throughout the day. And that’s it! Now you have an easy style that can be worn dressed up or down.

Wish I could do up-do’s. My hair literally has a mind of its own. I’d still like to try this though!

I have an absurd amount of hair, so I usually cannot do up-does at all, but I think this would work for me! It’s low enough on the neck that it wouldn’t give me headaches. So pretty and feminine! I love it.

Hair is so not my forte, and braiding is almost impossible. I can barely get my hair into a ponytail that I like so this is super complex for me…but the thing is you made it so do-able! I am in love with this style & it looks gorgeous on you!
